The Institute for Dance Education Arts, Inc. presents

2008 COMPETITION AWARDS

ABC, in collaboration with professional companies and schools, awards apprenticeships, traineeships, scholarships and cash awards. Traineeships and scholarships are awarded by representatives of the awarding company or school or, at their request, by the ABC jury. Winners of cash awards may also be awarded a scholarship award and scholarships may be awarded to competitors not placing in the top three award categories. Companies and schools reserve the right not to award contracts, traineeships or scholarships.

Trainee and scholarship recipients are responsible for contacting and making all arrangements directly with the awarding school or company. If unable to accept the award, the recipient must communicate that with the awarding school or company in a timely manner. Some schools may extend summer scholarships to the next year and may require recipient to be re-evaluated.

Positions may be second company or traineeships offering the opportunity to perform with the company, outreach programs and may offer stipends or performance payments.

2008-2009 ACADEMIC SCHOOL YEAR SCHOLARSHIPS

 

 

2008 or 2009 SUMMER INTENSIVE SCHOLARSHIPS

Winners may be invited to perform with the International Ballet Festival of Miami - September 2008.
